About The Dandelion

London's culinary revolution comes to Philadelphia with this eclectic English pub. Cozy rooms and intimate bars create a storied, Old World aura, while updated seasonal takes on British food make up the menu. In keeping with tradition, cask and tap craft beers are always rotating, a proper afternoon tea service has a sweet and savory menu, and classic beef family-style roasts are served on Sundays.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Cool atmosphere. Great crab croquettes. I was in a hurry and the food and drink can very quickly without even asking. Personally the crab hush puppies at whisky village were a vetter but these were pretty good! The bread and butter was good but nothing special! Beautiful restaurant and good vibes for a full meal.

This was a great restaurant for both large and medium-sized groups. During my business trip, I ended up dining here two nights in a row, and I was actually excited to come back the second night. They offered a prix fixe menu with a choice of appetizer, entrΓ©e, and an assorted cake platter for dessert. The appetizer options included carrot soup and Caesar salad, while the entrΓ©es included the Dandy Beef Burger, artichoke risotto, and chicken curry. I got to try a little bit of everything from both my own dishes and my colleagues’ plates. The carrot soup was good - if you really love ginger, you’d probably enjoy it even more than I did. The Caesar salad came with an enormous pile of romaine lettuce covered in grated Parmesan cheese. It was a lot, but my colleagues clearly loved it because they all finished theirs. I really enjoyed my burger, and the fries were interesting in a good way: thick-cut and hearty. The artichoke risotto became the mysterious dish everyone at the table was curious about. It arrived buried under a mountain of grated Parmesan cheese and had a slightly lemony flavor. The chicken curry was also good, though the portion was huge and the yogurt flavor was a bi

An adorable restaurant in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Each room of the restaurant has a different vibe. Service was top-notch. We tried the deviled eggs and scones to start. Had the traditional English breakfast and Caesar salad for our main meal and the salted caramel banana trifle for dessert. Highly recommend everything! The drinks were just as good. Well crafted and delicious!

I have come back here again after a visit in 2022 and being mind blown. Well, I confirmed. The amount of details this place offer goes beyond delicious food, but with drinks and amazing interior of this centrally located restaurant. We got couple new dishes on the menu, there was no mistake. Good presentation, amazing flavours and great size of portions. Stayed late and enjoy almost fine dining experience. Warmly recommend!

Absolutely loved brunch at The Dandelion! I would definitely recommend making reservations if you can. We didn’t have one and showed up around 11:45 on a Saturday for brunch, so I was honestly expecting a wait. To my surprise, they were able to seat our party of two immediately! They did let us know they’d need the table back by 12:45 for an incoming reservation, which was totally fine because we are quick eaters anyway lol. The staff was so sweet and accommodating the entire time, and every single room in this place has its own charm and personality. I was especially excited that we got seated in the dog room. It has such cozy, classic vintage vibes and just feels incredibly unique. Brunch itself was phenomenal. The French toast with the chantilly cream was absolutely decadent, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salad as well. Even little details stood out here. If you order tea, it comes served properly in a teacup and everything, which just added to the whole experience. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The ambiance here looked really great online so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The place is very unique & cozy. We sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation time. I had the peachy drink & we had the cheeseboard & it was great. We sat upstairs for dinner and it was the β€œdog room”, which was unique & really neat. The staff were great & the food was all great! We ordered the crab salad, Caesar salad, fish & chips, rabbit pie, & burger. All items were really great. I didn’t try the rabbit pie but my friend said it was creamy, tender & tasty.

This place is absolutely amazing. Definitely make a reservation and come ready to wait a little, because it’s 100% worth it. The decor is fun, cozy, and sets the perfect vibe. Ben, our server, was incredible he paid attention to the little details that made our experience feel truly special. The entire staff was warm, attentive, and on point all night. The food? Freaking phenomenal. Every bite hit. And the drinks are just as impressive perfectly made and just as memorable as the meal.

What a cozy restaurant! Had a holiday dinner with a large group (about 20 people) sat in a nice area with a mantle and lovely holiday decor. The service was stellar! Our server and all of the staff members were friendly and on point. A good selection of specialty cocktails and also draught beers and wine to choose from. The food was delicious! Deviled eggs and ricotta and toast as appetizers. For my entree, I had salmon which was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. We had honey glazed carrots and whipped potatoes as side dishes. Both were so tasty! The dessert tray of bite sized cakes was both cute and delicious. Chocolate, lemon, and toffee cakes were all good, though lemon was probably the crowd favorite. Overall, a delicious meal and a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays!
